Abstrakt: | The child with a congenital limb deficiency is best managed by an interdisciplinary clinic team, which can see him early and work with parents and agencies to provide adequate and early prosthetic prescriptions. Terminal transverse limb deficiencies are generally fitted similarly to the patient with acquired amputation at the same level. Other deficiencies often require nonstandard prosthetic devices in association with corrective or conversion surgery. |
