| Abstrakt: | Diabetes mellitus (DM) was diagnosed in a 54-year-old man with acute Flexner's dysentery (AFD). A severe course of AFD impedes early clinical diagnosis of DM detected only upon appearance of life-threatening ketoacidosis. |
