Abstrakt: Patients with rheumatic disease are turning to complementary and alternative therapies in growing numbers. Many of these therapies have a long history of apparent safety and efficacy but have not been adequately tested in controlled trials. To aid physicians in guiding patients' decisions, the most frequently used products and practices are reviewed.
