Parietal layer of the yolk sac was studied in rat on d 11-21 pregnancy, taking into consideration topographic peculiarities and regional differentiation. Epithelial cells of placental and obplacental zones differentiate asynchronously, but perform similar specific functions. Parietal layer of the yolk sac regulates selective transport of macromolecules to the embryo (or fetus) in placental region and entodermal sinus. |
