The results of 177 sympathectomies fulfilled in 152 patients with critical ischemia of the lower extremities are presented. Good and satisfactory results were obtained in 69.3% of patients after lumbar sympathectomy only. When the operation was combined with prolonged intraarterial catheter therapy positive effects were noted in 79.7% of the cases. This combined method of treatment is thought to be expedient for patients with the IV degree ischemia. |
