Summary: Reviewing trends and techniques in current and future chromosome research, this volume draws upon scientists from many disciplines to introduce various nano devices and applications that have been developed for handling the smallest biological materials, especially chromosomes. It details the visualization of chromosomes at nano and micro levels, including the most advanced applications ever employed for Scanning Probe Microscopy. It also discusses the development of a sustainable chromosome imaging database; examines isolation, comparative proteome analyses, and structural/functional analyses including a new 3-dimensional model; and describes a new antibody production method for chromosomal proteins. |
