Abstrakt:	Summary: This research study on the exercise of prostitution was conducted at the TU Berlin and focussed on a specific form of prostitution. These were "mistresses" or "sklavias" offering a special service to sadomasochistic-assessed men. The investigation resulted from the consideration of the concept of autogenesis by Prof. Dr. Gerd J�ttemann (1999), following the thesis that the person is seeking essentially for self-determined behavior. With eight biographical interviews, a comparison was made between mistresses appearing in the prostitution situation very self-determined and Sklavias subject in this situation of extreme foreign control. The research question related to how self- and foreign control continue mirror in other areas of life of these women.
