| Abstrakt: | Abstract: Based on the analysis of archival resources the author explains the hitherto completely uncharted issue of the civilian administration of the originally military main field hospitals located in Moravia in 1814. The author proceeds to explain the reasons why the administration of the hospitals was changed, what the implications were for both the military and civilian sectors, and how this change affected the hospitals and the patients themselves. The author further demonstrates that the change in administration effectively impacted the staffing of hospitals in particular and explains why civilian administration was not found to be more effective than military administration. |
