Abstrakt: Abstract: The influence of liquid environments of various polarity on the metastable states formed during dry grinding of quartz and magnesite have been investigated. The X-ray amorphous phase content and the excess enthalpy accumulated during energy intensive dry grinding remain unaffected during short-termed dispergation regrinding as well as during long-termed stirring and static storage of the activated powders in liquid environment. The changes in specific surface area depend upon: the permitivity of liquid environment, crystallochemical properties of the activated powder and conditions of their mutual contact.
