Abstrakt: | Abstract: Contarinia lini Simova et Skuhravá sp. nov. is described and its taxonomically important features are illustrated. Larvae develop in slightly swollen flower buds of Linum austriacum L. (Linaceae) and pupate in the soil. Two generations develop a year. The galls were first found in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1991. The following six hymenopteran parasitoid species were reared from its galls: Aprostocetus epicharmus (Walker, 1839) and A. pausiris (Walker, 1839) (Eulophidae); Eupelmus vesicularis (Retzius, 1783) (Eupelmidae); Inostemma sp. (Platygasteridae); Systasis encyrtoides Walker, 1834 (Pteromalidae) and Pseudotorymus sp. (Torymidae). |
