Abstract: The articles published in this issue of Živa indicate continuing interest in this the indisputably greatest figure in Czech science, Jan Evangelista Purkyně. However, one old debt ought to be pointed out - Purkyně’s unpublished works, which are thus inaccessible to his broad potential public, particularly German digests of his university lectures, which he used in Wrocław and then evidently in Prague. The archives also offer, for example, Czech records of his lectures and similar material. |
