Abstract: The study focuses on the fate of the family Pappe, who worked as artistic dyers in Mísek at the turn of the 19th century. The core of the study is the capture of the probabe acts for the male members of this family Bernard and Bernadr Jr. The way in which the probate acts took place is analysed, how the individual claims were resolved and what role was played in these proceedings by other family members. A component of the study is also the issue of the sale and leasing of the artistic dying workshop and resolution of ongoing court disputes. The author of the study also considers based on the Pappe family the general questions of social advancement and the genesis of small businnessmen and tradesmen. |
