Abstract: In the process of preparation of the Czech Republic for the accession to the European Union, environmental protection and sustainable development represent a priority. The topic is concentrated on informations of social aspects of sustainable development of civil engineering resourcees. These social aspects are the least questionable part of the environmental protection. In the Czech legislation, general provisions for environmental impact assessment (EIA) is provided and the EIA process is then established by Act of the Czech National Council No. 100/2001 Coll. But it has in view air quality, water quality, nature protection, industrial pollution, waste management etc. Social aspects and social influences are connected with influence with employment rate of habitant, their health, their good sense or feeling. In application to the domain of water management, there are attempts to define, beside the economic and environmental aspects, the main social impacts (such as employment rate of habitant, their health, their well-being). |
