Abstract: A new breakthrough has been made through the co-operation of American and Czech scientists, consisting of a team from the U. S., led by Prof. Primal de Laneroll of the University of Illinois in Chicago, and one at the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the ASCR headed by Dr. Pavel Hozák. Their work has proved the existence of a "molecular engine" in the cell nucleus providing kinetic energy to transcription complexes, which is the base for the funktioning of any cell. This discovery was described in the prestigious journal, Science, published October 13, 2000. |
