| Abstrakt: | Abstract: This article provides a compilation of findings by Japanese, Chinese and Western scholars regarding the event most widely known as the Nanjing Massacre. Not only does the author summarize already established facts, but also the contested points, about which a consensus would be difficult to reach even now, 80 years after the event. The article also seeks to uncover the influence of politics on academic research into this important topic. |
