Abstrakt: Abstract: The article provides a survey of two types of leisure architecture in Prague that were built during the 16th and 17th centuries. The first type is that of the belvederes that were built on the rooftop level of burgher's houses from the 1520s onwards. The second type consists of open loggias that were constructed from the 17th century as part of summer casinos in the gardens of the Lesser Town quarter of Prague.
