Abstrakt:	Abstract: The theoretical part of the article intends to demonstrate the inseparability of culture and langueage, to define the intercultural communicative competence and to accentuate the term´s relevance for the modern world. The empirical part, in turn, attempts to present creative writing in German-Polish student tandems as a step towards enhancing the above mentioned competence.
