Abstrakt:	Abstract: The article analyzes the information pertaining to the Kostelec deanery in order to understand the activity of this smallest link in the ecclesiastical administration in the pre-Hussite period and, expecially, to study the settlement development and property situation of the nobility in the region. It also offers brief information about the subsequent fate of the churches that were linked to the deanery as well as their present-day situation.
