Abstract: The paper present the ruselts of a research done in 2006 among young Polish people at the age of 16-18, who attended a natural-scientific secondary school in Wroclaw (Poland). in the survey the youngsters were asked about their conceptions and notions concerning their self-image as “young Poles” (Autostereotypes) and about their conceptions of Germany and the “Germans” (Heterostereotypes). The study belongs to the system- and cultural-theoretically oriented research of people’s worldview and has the intention to prove the existence of a culturally specific worldview empirically and to learn something about its characteristics and functions. |
