Abstrakt: Abstract: Despite its low number of musical foundations, the Saint Joseph Seminary of the Klatovy Jesuit College was a leading regional musical institution in 1636-1773 which competed with the Klatovy pilgrim church in terms of intensity and quality of musical performances. only nine names have survived out of all the Klatovy musical seminarians; only sixteen of the known music prefects had musical qualifications. As regards musical regionalism, the seminary developed a large network of musical and repertoire bonds. Besides a relationship with the parish church and its musicians, contacts were established with colleges in Jičín, the New Town of Prague and probably in Litoměřice. The seminarians promoted the local noblemen's presentation, i.e. the the Counts of Kolowrat in Týnec, the Morzin Counts in Bezděkov and the Lords of Čachrov in Předslav. They performed in the Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene in Komošín, a Jesuit demesne. The Klatovy college established relations with musicians from neighbouring towns and the courtly milieu in Innsbruck.
