| Abstrakt: | Abstract: The article follows methods used by the Jesuits at the break of the 16th and 17th century in application of chanted words in catechism and compares extant productions of German and Czech catechism songs. We follow their lyrics (the so-called small and smallest catechism by Peter Canisius SJ), their musical aspects (e.g. the common score) and literary aspects (from adoption of sacred canonic prosaic texts up to paraphrases into strophic versed compositions). |
