I think it's brilliant. Beyond brilliant, actually. It may be the most urgently important public monument of our time. Most public monuments are rhetoric, aren't they? They are a kind of propaganda, on behalf of great men, and occasionally great women, or of ideals, like liberty, justice, military strength, sacrifice or honor.
