Abstrakt:	GE [NYSE: GE] announced today strong second-quarter 2011 operating earnings from continuing operations of $3.7 billion, up 18%, or $0.34 per share, up 17%, from the second quarter of 2010. Revenues were $35.6 billion for the quarter, down 4% from a year ago, primarily driven by the absence of NBCU revenues after the sale of GE’s majority position to Comcast.
