Abstrakt: Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Nafisa Shah believes that federal government is not showing any seriousness in resolving electricity crisis. It is a great tragedy that 70% of electricity is stolen by people of the power department and common people are being forced to pay its cost. Speaking at Khairpur Campus of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), in the first national conference on `Latest technical skills and sustainable energy`, she said that if Rs80 billion were spent on hydro and Thar Coal Power Project instead of Nandipur, Pakistan could have been taken out of the electricity crisis. Federal minister and concerned officials should have resigned over corruption committed in Nandipur project, she added. Ms Nafisa said PPP had formulated policies for various sectors in 1970s to lead the country to progress, but we have come under power crisis in 1990s because of not implementing them.
