CORTIJO El Carligto opened in Andalucía to much fanfare, offering luxurious villa living in a 10-acre estate in the mountains beyond Malaga. Now owners Alan Hazel and Marc Wils are launching a sister property. The Hunting Lodge, or Refugio de Caza, sleeping six, is set on a ridge overlooking the Velez valley and the Med, with touches such as a heated outdoor pool, open-air cinema, cocktail bar and high-tech entertainment system. Cool white interiors mix art deco furniture with local "hunting" influences such as cow skins as rugs and on chairs, underfloor heating and air-con, while outside there are courtyards, gardens and an outdoor kitchen.
