Abstrakt: The article reports that 19 million of the 35 million people around the world living with HIV do not know their HIV-positive status, according to a report from UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS. The report suggests that when people know about their HIV-positive status they will seek life-saving treatment. It notes the 90% of people from the sub-Saharan Africa having tested positive for the virus went on to access antiretroviral therapy.
