Is it right to live on benefits alone?

Abstrakt: I WAS appalled to read about jobless mum Sinead Clarkson, who advised her 19-year-old daughter to get pregnant for an easy life on benefits. This woman got pregnant at 15 and has never worked, yet receives £1,200 in benefits a month and, no doubt, a free house. Now her daughter is doing the same. Does neither of them have any pride? My husband and I are both retired and worked most of our lives, yet we receive less than £300 a week in pension. And because we saved a little during our working years, we get no extra help with pension credit, council tax allowance or any other benefit. We live within our means and accept that. But it is so annoying when someone is subsidised by the people who do work and thinks it is her right. The sooner Iain Duncan Smith clamps down on this abuse of the system, the better. I say: if you don't work, you don't get any money. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
