Abstrakt: DOES WASABI KILL FOOD POISONING BACTERIA ON FISH? 'Yes, to an extent. The Japanese sauce is from a plant called wasabia japonica which has antibacterial properties,' says GP and holistic doctor Sohere Roked. 'The plant was originally paired with sushi as it stimulates the natural antibacterials in your stomach. But while it helps you to deal with bacteria from raw fish it doesn't completely eradicate the risk. Sadly, true Japanese wasabi is hard to find so the wasabi in the UK is made mainly from horseradish and dyed green.' [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
