The article focuses on the drought monitoring in the U.S. It states that the U.S. Drought Monitor offers a snapshot of drought by showing a map with four colors which indicates the intensity of drought conditions such as moderate, severe, and extreme. In addition, Stage 1 in Drought Response is declared when drought conditions are serious. Moreover, the groundwater and Central Arizona Project (CAP) water, which are the water sources in Tucson, Arizona, are the most susceptible to drought. |
