AT 14, Kurt Heatherley was already one of the most promising athletes in New Zealand. Whether on the basketball court, rugby field or at the cricket crease, this was a youngster believed to have the natural ability to go all the way to the top. The only question was which sport he'd choose to focus on. Four years later, Heatherley is on the brink of making the breakthrough but not in the way anybody back home ever imagined.
