The article discusses a renewed interest in stocks among individual investors that has contributed to a 6.5% rise in the Dow Jones Industrial Average in 2013 through January 29. During the first three weeks of the year stock mutual funds have received net inflows of $6.8 billion. Financial planner Lawrence Glazer says clients are transferring money to stocks from certificates of deposit and bonds. |
