Abstrakt: The article reports on the implications of the rules and regulations being considered from U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act for the country's smaller banks. According to Harmony Bank President Michael A. Schutzer, Dodd-Frank and stepped-up compliance regulations with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. create challenges for community banks trying to cope with increased oversight.
