The article reports that wireless service provider Sprint Nextel Corp. will begin selling the iPhone 5 smartphone from Apple Inc. in October 2011. Sprint's two larger rivals, AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless both offer an earlier version of the iPhone and will carry the newer one as well. Richard Doherty of research company Envisioneering Group said the iPhone would help Sprint retain existing customers and drive more traffic into its stores. |
