The article offers the author's insights on African Renaissance, a concept indicating that African people can overcome any challenges, and the World Festival of Black Arts and Cultures (FESMAN) hosted by President Abdoulaye Wade in Senegal in December 2010. The author says that the festival's theme is unity and it calls for the involvement of African Diaspora with Africa. The author argues that without embracing African history and culture, there is no foundation to sustain any movement. |
