The article reports on the implications of the increase of sales of Apple Inc.'s tablet computers on the revenue of Broadcom Corp. It cites a study by IMS Research which estimates that about 21 million tablet computers will be sold in 2010 and that number is expected to grow to 129 million in five years. It notes that the increase of sales implies a revenue growth for Broadcom which supplies communications, radio, and touchscreen chips that go into the tablet computers. |
