The article reports on a political conflict regarding the national election for prime minister in Iraq. Former Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari mentions during the Iraqi National Alliance (INA) meeting that the candidacy of Vice President Abdel Mahdi was blocked. However, Mahdi's candidacy was nearly approved by all political parties, including the National Coalition, Sadrist movement, and the Supreme Council. |
