An extraordinary thing has happened in the music industry. An album released by a bunch of nobodies - 987 nobodies, to be precise - has entered the charts. This is Rock Choir: the massed voices of housewives, supermarket check-out girls, grannies, students… anyone who wants to sing - even if they're tonedeaf. Together they belt out the soundtrack of our lives - pop, gospel and Motown hits going back to the 1960s, kicking off with a fingersnapping version of You Can't Hurry Love. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER] |
