The article discusses the 2010 Report to the Nations on Occupational Fraud and Abuse from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners which focuses on workplace fraud in the U.S. The bi-annual study found an increase in fraud in workplaces such as misappropriating of accounts or stealing and committed by owners, executives and high-ranking employees. Scott Patterson, ACFE spokesperson, adds that on average, fraud may take 18 months before they are discovered. |
