The article discusses the outlook of Montana's travel and recreation sectors for 2010. The state has a mixed assessment for the sectors in 2009. The main challenge to the sectors is the cost-consciousness of travelers while the trend is positive for the increase in visits to the state's national parks, such as the 12.4% increase in visits to the Glacier National Park and the 7.5% increase for Yellowstone National Park. Predictions of the U.S. Travel Association suggest a modest recovery of 1.9% increase in leisure and 2.5% increase in business travel. |
