The article explores the banking sector in New Hampshire. It notes that the sector is flourishing despite the recession. The Optima Bank & Trust Co. which opened in January 2008 reported that it has accumulated about 78.4 million dollars in assets and is engaged in lending money to area businesses and home buyers. Laconia Savings Bank, Northway Bank and Centrix Bank also reported an increase in their assets. |
