The article reports on the efforts of Ralph DiBart, executive director of the Business Improvement District (BID) to develop vacant spaces into artist studios in New Rochelle, New York. According to DiBart, to develop a 10,000 square feet of vacant upper-floor space and work with property owners to develop it for studios and art-related businesses and establish a downtown niche is their aim. He adds that New Rochelle is a much more dynamic residential market and it offers a different market. |
