The article focuses on Vermont's Green Hotels program, which is part of the Vermont Business Environmental Partnership (VBEP). The programs recognize businesses in the state for their adoption of environmentally sustainable business practices. According to Gary Gulka of the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), they schedule an on-site visit and conduct an environmental opportunity assessment once a hotel showed interest in joining the Green Hotels program. The ways in which green hotels receive recognition are cited. |
