The article reports on the assault case faced by chipmaker Broadcom Corp. in Irvine, California. It notes that chief financial officer (CFO) Bill Ruehle, along with former chief executive officer Henry Nicholas, was charged with conspiring to conceal and understate the company's compensation expenses from 1999-2005 by back-dating stock options. In result, Ruehle was charged with 21 counts of fraud, falsification, and other options. |
