The article focuses on Shane Cerone, recently promoted director of William Beaumont Hospitals. Cerone was tasked with evaluating the hospital's work systems and maximizing the time its staff spends with patients. Cerone and Beaumont joined the University HealthSystem Consortium, an alliance of teaching hospitals that collaborate to maximize clinical and operational services. His goal is to further enhance patient care and aid in development of new medical school curriculum. |
