The article discusses mediation and litigation as alternate forms of dispute resolution. A trained neutral person selected by the parties or appointed by a court or agency conducts mediation. Private mediation is being offered by some litigants before it is required by the court. Cost is one of the reasons to be considered for mediating a legal claim in a business. In most cases, court litigation is expensive for smaller companies. |
