The article reports on the performance of the chipmakers based on the survey results of the second quarter in 2009 in San Francisco, California. According to Tore Svanburg, an analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners LLC, the March 2009 quarter was the bottom of economic cycle for the chipmakers. On the other hand, the chip kingpin Intel Corp. shows a potential increase of sales which is against the estimations of various analysts. |
