Abstrakt:	Brooke Astor was lying in a hospital bed one afternoon, in serious pain after breaking her hip that morning, when her son, Anthony D. Marshall, and his wife, Charlene Marshall, arrived. After several moments, Mrs. Marshall approached the bed and addressed her mother-in-law.
