Abstrakt: The article reports that the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan in 2009 is not relying on pledges raised through the United Way of Southeastern Michigan's annual Torch Drive. Three years ago, the foundation took in about 27 percent or $300,000 of its annual budget through the United Way. According to Kelly Major Green, vice president of marketing and strategy the United Way's administrative fee for raising the dollars is standard for all of the designation-only agencies.
