In this article the author discusses the implication of the U.S. Senate Bill 5840 to the residents of Spokane, Washington. He notes that the bill increases the renewable-energy targets of utilities with a balanced, cost-effective approach to greenhouse-gas reduction. He points out that it enables utilities to invest in energy-efficiency initiatives. He also commits to find a balance between strengthening commitment to a clean environment and directing the concerns of ratepayers and businesses. |
