The article offers information on the strategy used by Brian's Crankbaits of Mount Holly, near Charlotte, North Carolina, in the production of its fish lures. Owner Brian Huskins designs the lures on a computer and uses a computer-aided router to rough-shape them. The lures are made from balsa, a wood that has light weight. After the lures have been crafted, Huskins paints each lure by hand. Price of the lure range from $6 to $65. |
